When Jon & Danielle asked me to join them for their wedding at St Audries Park, Taunton, I was pretty excited. I had known Jon for quite a few years and we have a lot of good memories together. Then when I was asked to be the photographer for the day I knew it would be lots of fun. Jon & Danielle are a great couple and I knew they’d be up for anything I threw at them!
St Audries Park was a beautiful venue, a large manor house set in a 100 acre deer park overlooking the Bristol Channel. I knew it would make an amazing location for the photography. It had grand statues, beautiful furniture and a pretty epic staircase! It was voted Best Wedding Venue in 2013 so do check it out if you are planning!
Their son Lex enjoyed his tough responsibility of being page boy and looking after the rings and his teddy, making sure both didn’t go missing!
The speeches were very funny, and made all the more with the announcement that they are expecting a baby. (Update: Ben was born in November and loved his first Christmas dressed as a reindeer, and Lex is enjoying being a big brother).
After the speeches and food I noticed the sun was setting and it was looking great for some outside portraits. So I grabbed Jon & Danielle, grabbed my flashes and umbrella and we dashed outside for some fun shots.
Their first dance song was the unforgettable “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green.
