I was happy to be asked by my good friends Tom & Eve to be a guest at their wedding. Even though we both decided I wouldn’t be the official photographer in favour of being more of a guest I couldn’t help but bring my camera along. It was a great day where even a small amount of rain at the start of the ceremony didn’t worry anyone!
The ceremony was at Taplins Place in Hartney Wintney, Hampshire, a lovely farmhouse complete with a beautiful lake. Eve arrived in my favourite car, a VW Campervan (one day I’ll own one!). The reception was great with carefully thought out decorations and some very delicious pies! But for me the absolute highlight of the evening came for the first dance, or in their case, their first gig! Eve & Tom are members of the Ska/Punk band Lead Shot Hazard, and this would be their first gig together as husband and wife. And so they played out “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from the Lion King, with Eve on the saxophone and Tom on the guitar. Later on that night the other members of Lead Shot Hazard came on stage to join them. Overall an amazing night with some incredible live music. Thanks Tom & Eve for letting me be part of it.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
